Sami and Alan prepare for the trial with their respective lawyers. Kate backs down and decides to stay home after the baby is born. When Lucas unburdens himself to Vivian about his hate of Billie and Austin, thinking they are trying to take Countess Wilhelmina from him. Vivian uses this to her advantage. After speaking with Lucas, Kate changes her mind about staying home with the baby. She thinks that with the tension between Billie, Austin and Lucas, she has to be there to smooth things through.

Austin is cold toward Gina as he feels it's her fault that Billie and Bo broke up. He and Carrie have an argument about Gina. Austin and Alan fight when Alan taunts Sami in the park.

Lucas still has insecurities about Billie and Austin taking the company from him.

It's the preliminary hearing for Alan and he tries to scare Sami's witness, Elaine, who had been raped by Alan. Carrie comforts Sami. Carrie leaves Sami and Marlena together to resolve their differences. . Sami is on the stand while Alan's lawyer does the usual pushy lawyer bit. Later when D.A. questions Elaine, she states that Alan never raped her.

Alan gives the photos of Sami to a tabloid magazine, which prints them and a "cry rape" story about Sami. Sami, shopping at Salem Place with Carrie, finds the magazine.

Carrie testifys at the trial and Alan's attorney confuses her on the witness stand, making Sami sound guilty. Sami is angry with Carrie for making her go through with charging Alan with rape. Now everyone thinks she's a liar because the judge didn't believe her. Sami continues to blame Carrie for her predicament. Austin gives her his support.

Bo tells Carrie and Austin about Gina being Hope. Austin is angry with Bo for hurting his sister. Sami is surprised with a birthday party, but not interested.

Sami runs out on her party, but Austin persuades her to return. During the party, Carrie pushes Austin to say nice things to Sami, which backfires into Sami thinking that Austin likes her. She tells Jamie of her plan to break up Austin and Carrie. This is the beginning of Sami's obsession to make Austin hers.

Austin and Kate have a mother and son chat. Vivien continues to give Lucas advice. Sami is sure Austin is sending her flowers and is more determined to split him and Carrie.

Austin and Carrie pick out costumes for "The Titian Charity Costume Ball". Everyone is picking costumes for the party. Sami is a nun! Sami in her pursuit of Austin, thinks Alan is him. October 31.

Sami lets Alan take her away from the party, thinking he's Austin. He tries to attack her again, but Austin comes to the rescue. Sami continues her plan for Austin. While Carrie is out, Sami calls Austin to come to the pub. Austin leaves Carrie a note and leaves, but Sami rushes in, gets rid of the note and pulls the phone from the socket. Austin tries to phone Carrie, but when the line is dead, he tells Sami that Carrie will come over anyway as he left a note. Carrie returns from the market and doesn't know where Austin is. Sami spends a nice evening getting close to Austin.

Celeste drugs Billie, who she thinks is Gina, and begins giving her Hope's memories. Billie wakes up and sees that it's not Gina. After struggling with Celeste who ran out, Austin comes to Billie's rescue. She explains about her dream. Billie finds the book of memories and now must find Bo. Billie still hasn't found Bo and tells Carries about the book of memories. Bo and Hope can't believe that Billie has tracked them all over the place. They don't believe her. Carrie and Austin pick up a devastated Billie from the ferry dock. Gina tells Austin and Carrie that Bo knows the truth and went to find Billie.

Sami asks Lucas help in breaking up Carrie and Austin as it would benefit them both. It's the day for Alan's kidnapping trial. Carries is called to the stand. Carries again gets cornered on the stand by Alan's lawyer and the Judge decides not to use the tape Carrie made. Alan flaunts it in front of Carrie, Sami, Austin and Jamie. Carries apologies to Sami and say she'll take all the blame. Sami slaps her. Lucas decides to help Sami break up Carrie and Austin.

John collects Marlena for Bo and Billies engagement party. Marlena can't take anymore rejection from Sami, so she leaves the party. Sami puts her plan into action. Lucas starts his plan as well.

The Desecrator vandalizes the Horton Center and St. Luke's. Wendy shops for gifts for Benjamin's godfathers, Austin and Jonah. The Desecrator sets the Christmas tree on fire.


The Desecrator tries to stop the second tree from being lit, but Gabe the Angel helps make sure the tree gets lit. Marlena tells Shawn and Caroline she's worried about Sami's anger towards Carrie. Austin asks Carrie to break the tension and start over tonight. Austin asks what's up with Jonah. He mentions it has to do with the married woman he told him about.

Bo and Billie get engaged and she asks Austin to walk her down the aisle, which he agrees to do. The day of the bridal shower, the day before the wedding, a yellow eyed Marlena loosens the bolts on the church chandelier. The wedding starts with the bridesmaids, Jennifer, Carrie, Gina and Kristen, walking in. Austin escorts Billie up to Bo. As the wedding commences, the chandelier falls and everyone rushes out of the way. Everyone is OK and Billie wants to go ahead with the wedding. After much discussion the wedding proceeds but Alice put another stop to it by standing and saying the wedding cannot go on. There is confusion as to why she would do this. Bo, John and Father Jansen take her to another room to speak with her. Billie is devastated and feels it she doesn't marry tonight then she never will. Father Jansen asks Alice why she feels that Bo and Billie can't get married. She apologises that she did it now but she had agonised over this for weeks. She says Bo can't marry as he already has a wife. Bo tells Alice that Gina is not Hope but Alice disagrees. Alice says she believes that Gina is Hope. She tells them of the memories she's being having and the feelings.Bo brings Gina in to tell Father Jansen her story. Father Jansen queries Bo, Gina and Alice, was there any record of Hope's death. Father Jansen decide that he can't marry Bo and Billie. Austin questions Gina if she had anything to do with the wedding being cancelled. John tells Bo he must prove that Gina isn't Hope before he and Billie can get married in the eyes of God.

Just as Carrie and Austin start a romantic evening, Sami calls because she scared and thinks someone is following her and it could be Alan, but as usual it's one of her plans. Austin to the rescue. Alan is up to something and buys a gun. Carrie starts to put two and two together when it seems that whenever her and Austin have a special night planned, Sami always cries "Help". She speaks to Jamie and tells her about Sami's latest call and that Alan maybe following her. Jamie says it couldn't be because she just saw Alan outside the Brady Pub. Later Austin returns Sami to the pub. When he goes back to Carrie, she tells him of her suspicions. He thinks it's a stupid idea.

Sami has another plan for Austin to get him tonight.Sami calls Austin again but Carrie answers the phone. Carrie doesn't believe Sami's cry for help. Austin returns but Carrie doesn't tell him Sami phone. Alan watches as Sami does her plotting. After another call from Sami, Austin is furious at Carrie for not telling him about Sami's first call. Alan pulls out a gun and scares Sami. Sami struggles with Alan and gets the gun. He taunts her and she shoots him. Austin, Carrie rush to the docks and hear a gun shot. They find Alan bleeding on the ground. Sami shot him in the groin. Sami confesses to Abe about shooting Alan in self defense.

Carrie is feeling very guilty about Sami shooting Alan. Austin takes Sami home with him. Carrie has a nightmare that she is going to loose Austin. Sami overhears Austin and Carrie talking about her and their problems. Alan tells Lucas as soon as he is released from the hospital he is seeking revenge on Sami and Carrie. He will never be able to be with another woman. Just as Carrie and Austin sort through their problems, Sami rips them apart again. Austin tells Jennifer he's quitting the studio for a while as he needs to take care of Sami and spend more time with Carrie. Alan phones Carrie to tell her what really happened when Sami shot him.

Alan tells Carrie everything he knows about what Sami is up too, re taking Austin from Carrie. Carrie rushes over to confront Sami with the facts that Alan gave her. She gets angry and slaps Sami as Austin walks in. Sami tells Jamie how Carrie slapped her in front of Austin and how he refused to believe Carrie's accusations. Jamie & Lucas both tell Sami to give up her plan and to stop hurting Carrie but she won't listen. Austin seeks Kate's advice on his relationship with Carrie.

Sami has on sexy lingerie to entice Austin. Carrie rushes to tell Sami and Austin about Marlena. Sami thinks Marlena is faking it. Sami goes in to see her possessed mother, thinking this will earn her more points with Austin. As the nurse leaves, Marlena says "hypocrite". Sami rushes out of the room.

Austin feels very awkward as Sami parades around in her lingerie. Lucas loosens Alan's tongue with booze and records his confession of raping Sami. Sami continues to throw herself at Austin but he tells her despite his problems with Carrie, he still loves her and can only be friends with Sami. Sami grabs her coat and rushes out. She head for the Cheatin' Heart where some men try to hit on her. After hearing Alan's confession on tape, Austin knows this will clear Sami's name, but he and Carrie continue to argue of Sami and her trying to break them up. They finally decide to end it.

Lucas rescues Sami from the Cheatin' Heart and takes her back to Titian. He tells her about the tape and she's touched that he cares about her. They kiss and then make love. William Robert Horton is conceived this night, February 8m 1995. It isn't until September 5, 1997 that he is discovered to be Lucas Horton's son.

Carrie leaves a note on her door for Billie and Gina, saying that she'll be at Titian, but gets a call from John to go to the hospital as Marlena has had a bad turn. Austin decides he needs to talk to Carrie and sees her note, so he heads off to Titian. He finds Sami and Lucas together and thinks its Carrie making love to Lucas. He is devastated. Lucas rushes out and Sami realises that Austin thinks she was Carrie.

Carrie still doesn't understand why Austin is so disgusted in her. Lucas is about to tell Austin it was Sami he slept with but can't. Carrie again tries to talk with Austin but he doesn't want to have anything to do with her.

Sami steals some sleeping tablets from the hospital. Bo, Jonah and Austin head to the Cheatin' heart from another Bachelor Party. Sami puts a tablet in Austin's drink. Sami finally gets Austin into bed and thinking it's Carrie, he makes love to her. Austin is shocked to find Sami in his bed. Austin feels very guilty and now feels that he has to tell Carrie.

Bo and Billie are married and Austin does not tell Carrie about Sami. Sami misunderstands Austin's let down. She thinks that he loves her. Sami continues to think she and Austin are an item. Sami and Marlena have a mother/daughter talk. Sami tells her about Austin. Mar tells her to go for it. Then she has another heart to heart with Carrie and tells her to go after the man that she loves. As Marlena does her usual "possessed" laugh from her hospital bed, Sami plants herself naked in Austin's bed and flaunts herself at him. Carrie arrives on his doorstep. Austin tells Sami to get dressed and then tells Carrie to leave. Austin finally tells Sami that there is nothing between them. Sami, distraught at Austin's dumping her, leaves Salem.

Jamie tells Austin and Carrie that Sami has left town. Carrie wants to go with Austin but he asks her to trust him and stay. Later she finds lipstick on his pillow and rushes to catch the train he is on. She's angry. Austin and Carrie have slept through the night on the train. Austin is dreaming about making love to Carrie. Suddenly, he is with Sami and he tells her this isn't right. Carrie is dreaming of when she found the lipstick on Austin's pillow and realized Austin was sleeping with another woman. Carrie and Austin twist and turn in their sleep, and they end up with Carrie's head on his shoulder and Austin's arm around her. Carrie wakes up and realizes she's leaning on Austin. She pulls away in disgust. Austin asks her what's up, she hasn't said a word to him all night. Carrie avoids the question, says she was tired. They are pulling into the next station. Austin says she's been waiting to talk to him all this time, and now why is she so cold? He presses her to talk to him, she flatly refuses, saying she just wants to look for Sami; she'll go her way, he should go his.

Jamie is sitting at a table, when Lucas comes in. He's looking for Carrie. Jamie tells him Carrie isn't here. Lucas says he's left messages for her everywhere, he's starting to worry. Jamie says he should be worrying about Sami because she ran away. Jamie tells him that Carrie went to look for her and that Austin is with her.

Austin walks up to the counter at the train station and asks the ticket guy if she's seen anyone fitting Sami's description. The guy asks for a picture, Austin doesn't have one. The guy says he can't help. Carrie pops up and shows him the picture. Carrie asks the ticket guy if he's seen the girl in the picture, her sister. The guy says sorry, no he hasn't seen her. She and Austin walk away. Austin tells her that having the picture is going to make their search a lot easier. Carrie doesn't want to search with Austin. Austin says they have a better chance of finding Sami if they work together. Carrie says it will go quicker if they split up. Austin says he isn't going to get far without the picture. He doesn't understand what's wrong with Carrie, but they do both want to find Sami, so for her sake they should put their differences aside work together. Carrie reluctantly agrees.

Lucas asks Jamie if Sami is really gone, or if this isn't just one of her stunts. Jamie tells him that Austin told Sami he didn't love her and she's really gone Lucas wonders if Austin and Carrie are back together. Jamie says no, Lucas is relieved. Jamie says even though Sami's been through a lot, there's no excuse for what she's done. Lucas agrees, he's especially sorry for Carrie. Jamie says Sami messed up his life as well, reminding us all of how Sami blackmailed him to keep the truth about the Titan night away from Austin. Lucas ask if Sami told Jamie how she tricked Austin into making love to her. Jamie says no, but she has a good idea of how she did it. Lucas realizes she used drugs. Lucas is worried that now, Austin will tell Carrie everything that happened. Jamie says no, Sami made Austin swear never to tell, and he never will, unless they find Sami.

Austin and Carrie are showing the photo to someone else. He doesn't recognize her. Carrie is convinced they'll never find Sami, Austin says they will. Austin offers to get them both coffee, Carrie agrees. Austin walks over to the counter, and Carrie watches him go. She sees a man sitting at the counter, who suddenly smiles. Carrie turns and sees a woman who's just gotten off the train. she runs to the man Carrie gets the daydream look in her eyes, and imagines the man was Austin, waiting for her. She snaps out of the dream, and as the couple walks away, she sits down. She then gets the flashback look and remembers again finding the lipstick on Austin's pillow. Austin returns with her coffees, she slides away from him and says she doesn't want it. Austin is confused, she said she wanted coffee, but Carrie flatly states that she's changed her mind, grabs the cup and tosses it in the trash. Austin wants to know what's wrong, Carrie says she's just anxious to get to the next stop. Austin thinks Sami went all the way to Los Angeles. Carrie says he doesn't know for sure. Austin says it's just a hunch he has. Carrie thinks Austin thinks they're wasting their time. He tries to protest, but Carrie tells him that she's perfectly capable of looking for Sami on her own and he can go back to Salem if he wants. Austin says why would he go back? Carrie suggests maybe he has *things* to take care of. Austin asks just what is going on. Carrie asks "Oh you can't think of anything you might have done that would upset me?" Austin asks her if she's done anything. Carrie is confused. Austin says "I guess we both have our little secrets." Carrie says yep, we do.

Carrie is looking longingly at Austin across the room. A (really ditzy blonde) girl comes by and says, "Is that great looking guy you're looking at your boyfriend?" Carrie says he used to be. The girl wonders what happened, Carrie isn't sure. One thing after another made it all fall apart. She thought they could work it out, but because of the lipstick she found on the pillow, she knows he's sleeping with someone else. Carrie can't believe Austin could do such a thing so soon after they broke up , but she guesses men are just different like that. The girl asks if Carrie still loves him, Carrie says yes. The girl says Carrie should confront Austin. Carrie says no, it's too painful. Across the way, a woman sitting next to Austin watches him gazing longingly at Carrie. She notices Austin is having girlfriend troubles. She offers to listen to his problems. Austin says it's complicated, they've both made mistakes and neither one wants to say they're sorry. The lady tells austin to tell her he's sorry. Austin says he can't because he promised not to tell the truth, and until he's released from the promise (like bring released from some evil curse), he has to keep the secret. The lady says that secrets have a way of coming out and when they do, they can destroy relationships. Austin knows, but he has to keep the promise.

Lucas is still worried about Sami, despite all the crazy things she's done. Jamie agrees, there's no telling what Sami will do. Lucas tells her not to worry, Austin and Carrie will find her. Jamie says she thinks Sami wants to get lost and stay lost.Carrie is on a pay phone, calling her grand parents. She tells their answering machine that she and Sami have gone away for a while to try to work things out and she'll call them soon. she takes a seat. Austin comes in, their eyes meet, and he sits in a seat across the isle from her. They look away. the guy sitting next to Austin hits a button and in comes....mood music. "I Only Have Eyes For You". Carrie gets the flashback look, and dreams of a night, I believe in the Cabin with Austin, and then the time on the roof before Austin went to Chicago. when she snaps out of it, Austin is sleeping. Carrie thinks Austin doesn't care because he doesn't remember. Austin has the classic flashback look . He dreams of the same Cabin scene that Carrie did. Then he dreams of when he gave Carrie the promise ring. He snaps out of it, fights off tears and looks over at Carrie, who is staring out the window. Carrie and Austin continue their search in Los Angeles in Sami, attracting the attention of a mysterious man named Tyrone, who is taken by Carrie's beauty. Carrie and Austin get rooms in a cheap hotel. Carrie insists on having her own room. She sees a huge cockroach and screams, and Austin comes to her rescue. The two embrace briefly, but Carrie pulls back and tells Austin he should get back to his room. Noticing Carrie in her cute nightie, the sleazeball Tyrone says she looks even better with less clothes on. Carrie wakes after having a dream about her and Austin. She and Austin decide on where to look for Sami. Tyrone watches Carrie from afar. Tyrone finally gets Carrie alone and locks her up. Carrie calls for someone to help her. One of Tyrone's girls, Emily, comes to give her food and Carrie begs her to help her by telling Austin where she is. Emily meets Austin, but after seeing Tyrone at the coffee shop, doesn't tell him where Carrie is. Austin starting to worry about Carrie.Austin spots Carrie's ring around Emily's neck she won't talk, and neither will Bea (the owner of the restaurant), but Austin promises to protect them, so they tell him where Carrie is. Carrie, meanwhile, had distracted Ty when he came into her cell and bonked him on the head, temporarily knocking him out. She doesn't move quickly enough, and he grabs her before she can escape. He intends to teach her a lesson, but Austin rushes to Carrie and frees her before Ty can beat her. They kiss and all is well.

Austin rescues Carrie from the evil Tyrone. When she hugs him [and swaps spit] for saving her life, they almost reconcile, but Austin's guilt from sleeping with Sami won't allow it. [He says he needs to talk with her and rehearses the scenario of him telling Carrie that he slept with her sister in his head. He realizes she's going to be hurt by it, but also knows that she'll be more hurt if he waits any longer.Emily shows up and offers proof that Ty may have had something to do with Sami's disappearance. [Emily recalls talking with a girl, but she doesn't know where she is now. But she gave her a phone number and the name 'Caroline' in case she hears of her getting into trouble. Carrie looks at the writing and says it's Sami's. Emily says only Ty would know where Sami is. They decide to stay in Los Angeles. Austin had wanted to return to Salem to 'regroup' and have Kate put out ads about Sami's disappearance and Jenn do something on her TV show. Carrie wants to start searching for Sami immediately, but Austin thinks they should get some sleep and wait til tomorrow. He thanks Emily profusely and gives her his hotel room so she'll be safe. He'll stay with Carrie. Carrie is uncomfortable with the idea, especially since they still have not resolved their differences. Carrie lies down to rest, and then remembers that Austin wanted to talk. He begins to tell her the problem, but soon Carrie is asleep. Austin sadly cries that until he can resolve the situation, getting back together with Carrie is only a dream. He enters the shower.

ELSEWHERE IN SALEM........

John discovers he's a priest and instead of disproving it by going to the Roman Catholic diocese, he finds out to his shock that it's true. John tries to keep away from Kristen, but can't and kisses her. Bo believes Gina to be Hope until Billie discovers she is being brainwashed by Stephano. When Billie tries to leave town Bo chases her train down, tells her he loves her, proposes, Billie says yes, and makes love to her on the train - a classic Bo and Billie moment. Bo and Billie try to marry once, but a falling chandelier and Alice put a stop to the wedding. Finally they are able to get married. Stephano drugs Marlena and begins taking her to fantasy places at night calling her his "Queen of the Night". It weakens Marlena's spirit and will because of her tiredness, the drugs, and the affair with John. The Desecrator strikes at the Horton Center and St. Luke's Church. It knocks Gina out. Gabe the Angel appears and saves the Christmas tree lighting when the Desecrator knocks out the fuse box that powers the lighting. The Desecrator messes up St. Luke's again and then we see them removing their commando make up and it's MARLENA! Her bed begins to shake and she levitates above it. So begins the story of Marlena being possessed. Marlena loosens the chandelier at St. Luke's and almost kills bride Billie, but Bo pushes her out of the way just in time. She then enters the reception naked. She strips Kristen and ties her to St Luke's altar. Marlena tires to entice John and to get Tony to see them, but it doesn't happen because Kristen isn't anywhere near John's loft. Marlena becomes grievously ill. John and Abe eventually discover that Marlena is the Desecrator. Stephano kidnaps and runs off with her to keep her away from the cops. She shows up at Bo and Billie's wedding reception naked! She gets sick several times from the demon that is sapping her strength and as we come to the end of this blog she is about to di During all the craziness, Vivian tricks Victor into marrying her and steals Kate's embryo and gets pregnant. Philip Robert Kiriakis is born on February 21, 1995. Kate discovers the trick and heads off to squeal on Vivian, when Vivan drugs her coffee to force the pilot to bring Kate home. Instead, the pilot drinks the coffee, passes out, and the plane goes down leaving Kate stranded on a desert island. Goodbye for now Kate Roberts....

In Salem Mike goes with his new found brother Lucas to the disco and they see Carrie and Austin there and Lucas is sick from seeing them together. Mike is trying to pep talk Lucas so he can forget Carrie.

Austin, Carrie, Lucas, Mike, Jonah, Wendy, Lexie, Abe and Sami are at a "Police Prevention Fundraiser", where Lucas donates $10,000 to impress Carrie.

Sami has a nightmare about the rape and then pigs out.

Lucas tells Alan how he will get Carrie to come back to work for him and away from Austin. After an initial mix-up of both thinking the other wants to marry, Carrie and Austin decide they will get married someday, but not right away. Sami finds out the truth about John and Marlena's imprisonment.

Sami wants Alan to have an AIDS test. Sami's AIDS test is negative but doctor wants her to have a pregnancy test. Alan stops Sami from telling Roman about the rape.

Austin gives Carrie a promise ring which makes them "engaged to be engaged".

Kate tries to deter Lucas from splitting up Austin and Carrie. Sami and Alan continue the "You raped me- No I didn't" saga.Sami and Alan continue the "You raped me- No I didn't" saga.

Lucas realizes there is something going on between Sami and Alan. She later confesses to him about Alan. Sami tell Lucas how Alan raped her.

Carried decides to trap Alan using herself as bait. Carrie sets her trap at the Health Club where Alan works. Carrie and Lucas talk to a girl who Alan had raped. Carrie continues with her plan for Alan at the Health Club. Unknown to her, Austin has returned from a trip, but Austin almost wrecks her plans by showing up at the Health Club. Lucas and Carrie have a plan to wire her to get Allan's confession.

Because of a heatwave, the power has gone out in Salem. Lucas and Austin come to the rescue of their mother, Kate, who is trapped in an elevator that plummeted as a result of the blackout. Kate. Lucas tells Victor that she's claustrophobic as Kate starts going crazy in the elevator. Vivian slaps her and starts telling Kate about all her loves. Kate tells Vivian how she envy's her. They sort of bond. Austin and Lucas join together to pull up the elevator.

As the Carrie and Lucas are in darkness at her apartment and due to the power failure, Alan calls to cancel. Lucas finds out about his mother and goes to help. Later Alan decides to surprise Carrie. Carrie opens the door to Alan and is scared as he becomes amorous. Alan continues to make a move on Carrie and she runs to the bathroom to ring Lucas. Alan has a knife to Carrie's throat, he drags her to his apartment. With Austin in tow, Lucas realises Carrie needs him and rushes to her apartment. Lucas tells Austin about Sami's rape and Carrie's plan. Austin finds a tape-recorded message from Carrie giving her whereabouts. Austin and Lucas arrive at Alan's apartment to find she's not there. Alan hides Carrie from Austin and Lucas, but Austin finds an earring that Carrie dropped. Austin and Lucas finally go to Abe. Angry with Carrie for dropping the earring, Alan ties her up. In desperation, Carrie gets him to talk. She lies to him that she has feelings for him and Alan wants to make love to her. Carrie still has the wire attached and turns it on so Austin and Lucas can hear her. the morning after the blackout! Marlena comes home from Colorado and finds out about Carrie. Lucas and Austin wait impatiently for Carrie to say where Alan has her. Lucas tells Sami that Alan has Carrie and she has a flashback to her rape and recognises a sound she heard on the tape and realizes Carrie is at Alan's apartment. Alan finds the wire on Carrie. Sami rushes to Alan's apartment to save Carrie. Alan ties up both girls and leaves.

Lucas and Austin race after Alan as he tries to steal a car. Jamie tells Abe that Sami went to save Carrie. Carrie and Sami hatch a plan and knock Alan out, but he comes to as Sami look for the key. Austin and Lucas figure out that the girls are at Alan's apartment. They get there in the knick of time and save the girls. Alan is let out on bail for kidnapping and assault to the shock of everyone. Sami can't go through with laying charges for rape. With Alan about to be released, Sami changes her mind and presses rape charges. Marlena overhears her. Sami gives her statement. Alan refutes everything Sami says. Marlena tries to comfort her but Sami rejects her. Marlena tells John about Sami's rape and he tells her about finding his past and that he is a priest. (Read Other Salem Happenings Below)

Kate asks Billie her opinion on a Countess Wilhelmina display. Kate has thoughts of bringing Billie into the company, but Lucas gives her an ultimatum, him or Billie. Carrie finally decides to go back to work at Countess Wilhelmina.

Tom Horton dies and family and friends reminisce.

After a few views of his feet, legs and silhouette, Jack Deveraux appears, and has returned.

An informant asks Roman to meet him at a warehouse and gets locked in. The informant turns out to Marlena, who pleads with Roman not to throw away their marriage. She tries to entice him with photos of their time together, but it doesn't work, Roman declares the marriage over. Roman and Marlena divorce and Roman leaves town. Marlena went to Colorado for a few days to recuperate and find her center again.

Kristen overhears Peter and Tony talking, withTony hoping that she believed he was telling the truth. Kristen tells John she overheard Tony say how he lied. John urges her to tell him about their love. After Kristen again fails to tell Tony, John asks her to choose, Tony or him. She wants John and declares her love for him. Because of the heatwave, the power has gone out in Salem. Kristen and John are about to have their way with each other, but of course, Kristen can't go through with it. Tony discharges himself from hospital and is on the way home to be with his wife. Again Kristen stops John, but after one last discussion, they finally make love in the garden. Kristen and John are hard at it. Billie finds Tony and keeps him company while the chauffer goes for help. John and Kristen are STILL at it. During a break, John asks Kristen to move in with him. As Tony is desperate to get back to Kristen, he and Billie start walking home. When they arrive at the house, Billie is astonished to see Kristen & John together. Tony, of course, is oblivious to what is happening. Billie is disappointed in Kristen. Bo finds Billie at the Di Mera's.

Kristen starts to tell Tony she's leaving him, but he falls asleep. Kristen tells John she hasn't told Tony. John still trying to crack the computer password, but Kristen fears it because Stephano told her there was something that would break them up forever in it. Tony triggers Kristen's memory when he calls her "Cara", she asks why he called her that and he replies it's the name Stefano used to call her. She then recalls something John had said about the password for the computer, that Stefano could have used a name for a loved one. Kristen types in the password. Kristen finally finds out about John's past and realizes they can't stay together.

Before Kristen can tell Tony about her & John, Tony admits to knowing about Stefano being alive. She says she knew, but she's still leaving him. She doesn't tell him there is another man. Kristen leaves a "Dear John" letter as John learns about his past. John follows Kristen to the pier and Kristen proclaims their love is dead because (ta ta) John is a Roman Catholic Priest! John believes its one of Stefano's tricks. He doesn't feel like a priest. Kristen is devastated, she feels ashamed, in the eyes of her religion, John is a holy man. John must find prove and goes to see the local priest. He tells John to find out which parish he came from and speak to the bishop. Kristen goes back to see Tony and he suggests she go to a retreat she once visited to think things over. After speaking with a priest who she knew many years ago, Kristen feels ready to follow her heart and tell John that she will tell Tony about the annulment and marry John. Later the same priest sees John and recognizes him as Father John Black. He taught John in the seminary and advised him when he was ordained.

Victor asks Kate to marry him and she says yes.

Lucas Discovers Bill Is His Father

Gabe First Appears To John (This moment begins the Possession Storyline)


Austin packs his bag and leaves to go to Carrie. Lucas bangs into Austin's car and it won't start which means he can't drive to the mountains for his and Carrie's night there. Alan offers to help fix it.

Alan fixes Austin's car so it will break down on the way to the lodge. He calls the police because he's also terrified of what he's doing. Marlena is there so she speaks to him to try to talk him out of the rape he says he's going to do. After he hangs up he goes to the frat party with Sami and gets her drunk so she'll pass out and won't remember he wasn't there. He heads up to the mountains. Austin's car breaks down on the way and Carrie is there waiting for him.

Carrie and Austin make love.

Alan goes the the lodge to rape Carrie but Austin manages to hitch a ride and get there so Alan decides it'll have to be Sami instead and goes back to the party where she is semi-conscious.

Carrie and Austin have made love and are basking in the afterglow, though concerned about the rapist after Sami rings to say hi and tells Carrie about it.

Sami has a bad hangover after the party. Alan comes to see her at school and she tells him she's sure he was away from the party for a long time but he says it was only a short while and she was just too drunk to tell. He says to her that they should do something by themselves like dinner. Sami agrees to go out with Alan. He tells her they'll go to a movie and have dinner and that then he's got something very special planned for her.

Carrie and Ausin return from their trip and everyone is happy to see how happy and in love they are (except Alan of course).

At lunch Alan , invited, he says, by Wendy, tells Roman he and Sami are good friends and it's fine that they can't date, and he tells him that after college he's thinking of joining the police force.

Sami and Roman decide to go to a Marx brothers film, something he and Marlena used to always do at the annual festival. Alan turns up there in costume and Sami sees him but then he disappears. Sami goes out to find Alan

Carrie and Austin can't bear to be away from each other during the day.

Austin asks Kate to let Billie become part of Countess Wilhemina. She says she'll think about it after the IVF. Lucas hears Austin tell Carrie about it and says "no way".

Austin and Carrie babysit Belle and Brady and tell each other how much they love each other. Carrie and Austin are still babysitting and coming to terms with their new relationship and how it feels "playing house". Austin hints he'd like to do more than just "play" house.

Austin says to Billie that if she wants to start a new company he bets Kate would invest. She tells him where to go.

Kate refuses to give Billie a job because of promising Countess Willhemena to Lucas. They argue and Lucas comes in and calls Billie a tramp and tells her to leave.

Austin and Carrie do a photo session of themselves at Titan and Carrie goes to take them to get processed and Lucas comes in and is his usual revolting self to Austin.

Sami has organized a romantic evening with Alan at her place because Roman is going out of town for a police conference.

Roman has to stay in Salem to finish the work on the drug bust. He and Bo go to his place to get a CD player from Sami for Bo's romantic night on the boat with Billie and Allan runs out the back door. Jamie arrives and Sami pretends it was them having dinner.

Jamie spills the beans about her father abusing her to Bo and Sami. Sami tells her she will stick by her because they're friends and she loves her. She tells Alan (who was planning to rape her while they were out that night) that she realizes how selfish she's been thinking her life was so bad when really it's been a piece of cake compared to what Jamie's been going through.

In keeping with their agreement, Kate sells Tony 49% of Countess Wilhemina - Lucas is not happy!

Carrie visits Kate to turn in her resignation from Countess Wilhemina, as Kate hasn't offered Billy a position at the company. Lucas tries to dissuade her not to quit. Carrie is adamant. Lucas is not pleased, especially when he sees Carrie and Austin hugging at he mall.

Sami and Alan are studying at his place. Alan gives Sami a few glances and seems a bit weird, but Sami doesn't seem to notice. He's planning to rape her but she has to go. He goes out to look for someone else. Later we see Alan stalking a woman.

Carrie and Sami have dinner with Roman, who informs them he's moving the date for the divorce forward.

Alan attempts to rape Wendy outside the Cheatin' Heart, but Wendy fights back and escapes.

Austin and Carrie discuss her unemployment. Lucas arrives with an offer of her job back with more incentives. Austin finds a job for her on Jennifer's show, which she accepts.

Austin shows Carrie around the TV studio, were she will be working as a production assistant. She is given mostly 'gopher' jobs to do. Jennifer telephones Austin and tells him that Bo will be proposing to Billie and are to organise a party when they all get back from New Orleans. Roman, Jonah and Wendy discuss her attack and Wendy tells how she bit the attacker on his arm.

Sami is making dinner at Alan's, where later he rapes her. Alan tries to convince her that she is to blame for it, because that she wanted it.

Alan is saying to Sami that he didn't rape her and if she tells anyone they will not believe her. Sami leaves at last in a hurry in tears.

Sami is having a vision of Alan and calls later anonymously the rape hotline to talk about being date raped by Allan.

Bill Is Lucas' Father

Victor goes to see Lucas in jail and asks him for the truth. Lucas says he killed Curtis and wants Kate to have happiness with Victor. Victor says she'll have no happiness without Lucas.

Laura and Jen go through Laura's old things and Laura grieves for the time she has lost and identity she has lost. They do her make-up and Laura feels shocked at her age looking in the mirror. Laura asks to see photos of Jack but Jen says she's put them all away so the viewers won't get confused when the actor who will replace Matthew Ashford later this year starts. Then they talk about Peter and Jen's feelings for him. Alice rings with a surprise. Jen tries to phone Bill again but can't get through. Jen brings her a photo of Bill and says how noble he is. When she goes Laura says "Hardly" and tears up the photo.

Maggie does a thank you speech to Alice. Alice does a speech of how her faith is confirmed by Bill being back, and Jen finishes it saying how perfect it is Bill and Laura being there together. Strange how no-one but us and Vivian have noticed Laura doesn't look so thrilled. Vivian tries to get out of Laura why she's so angry at Bill but Laura won't tell her. Laura goes to see Kate.

Laura and Bill dance while Alice and Jen watch happily. Alice notices Laura looks tense but Jen thinks she's just overwhelmed. Bill tells Laura how natural it feels. He says he remembers they had problems before, but that he waited years for her to come back and he knew that they'd be together sometime. She says she has to sit down.

Jen tells Bill about the court case and Laura telling everyone about Kate. Bill can't believe it's THE Kate. Bill realizes all the details about Kate that Laura must know, which he never realised she knew. He and Jen talk about Jack and Bill tells her not to close her heart against love.

At Kate's place Laura confronts Kate with all the gory details - that Kate slept with Bill and had Lucas by him. Kate says Lucas doesn't know about Bill being his father and that she never wanted Laura to know. Laura tells Kate she'll make her pay. Kate says if she reveals the details of Bill's past it'll hurt Jen so Laura agrees to keep quiet. But she says she'll see Kate pay when Lucas goes to jail for life, and she'll make sure Bill pays too. Laura goes home and makes a snide comment about how Bill always does what he wants. Bill says we need to talk, Laura says not tonight I'm tired. She goes to bed but not before he kisses her goodnight and she looks MOST uncomfortable.

ivian is annoyed that Laura isn't going to spill Kate's secrets. Bill wants to pick up where they left off - Laura asks "Back to what I had or back to what you had?" She confronts him about Kate, that while she was in a fragile emotional state, needing him, he was off having an affair. He apologises (hmmm, not sure how far that's going to get him). She yells at him for losing 18 years and for the fact that the doctors had said she was recovering and that if he'd come to visit her he'd have worked out she was being drugged. He asks for a chance to make her happy in the future. She says they must put their differences aside for the sake of the family and that she doesn't want him to have anything to do with Kate or Lucas. He says fine, he has no interest in Kate but what does Lucas matter? Laura says "Because he's your son".

Lucas tells Kate that he promised himself that once he was free he'd find his father. Kate says she promised she'd never tell and he's done fine without him for 18 years. She begs him to leave it alone. He says o.k. but we know Lucas better than that. Victor and Kate toast to their future and their future child.

Laura begs Bill not to reveal that he's Lucas's father because Jen is so happy to have her family back together. He says he won't but he tells Jen he's worried Laura still isn't 100% well. She gets mad at him saying Laura's fine.

Victor is going off on business and Kate's worried he's going off her. Vivian goes through her office to find incriminating evidence against Kate but Kate interrupts her and they have a bitchy conversation about destroying each other.

Lucas wants to know who his father is but Kate tells him to leave it alone. He goes off to look through her files (of course her assistant just lets him go through them all) and finds a letter with the address of Copper Lantern Drive on it (Jen's address). He speeds off to her place where she, Laura and Bill are. He leaves a pen in the file room so the assistant brings it back, telling Kate what happened.

Lucas asks Bill about the house and who lived in it and tells him he's looking for his dad. Bill doesn't tell Lucas he's his dad. Kate arrives and hauls Lucas off and Laura warns them not to tell him or she'll tell everyone what they did to her.

Kate goes off to the infertility clinic and Marlena tries to reach her through the day to tell her what's gone down in the courtroom but she can't get hold of her.

Kate and Victor go to a fertility specialist. She's told the tests show she can't conceive the usual way as her fallopian tubes have been scarred from Lucas' birth but that they can try IVF. They're happy about this. She goes off to talk to Mr Caldwell to find out whether she and Victor are legally married. Vivian is hanging around posing as a french woman to try to eavesdrop. All she finds out is that the lawyer keeps tapes of each session so she plans to steal the one of Kate's session. Kate wasn't legally divorced as Curtis never sent the divorce papers in and that's what they were arguing about the night of the murder.

Bill admits to Alice about the affair (not who it was with though). Laura gets upset at the dinner the Hortons remembering Kate and Bill together and leaves. Bill and Alice worry about her mental stability. Jenn and Peter begin to make love but are interrupted by Laura who gets mad at Jenn, forgetting how old she is, then apologises and admits to Jenn that her and Bill haven't been sleeping together but Jenn says she believes in their love and in true love because of them, and that with time they'll find each other again.

Kate leaves the jail upset and has a car accident, nearly hitting Bill who's on his way home. They talk, remembering their past together, and about Lucas. Kate says there's enough going on for Lucas and that maybe sometime in the future they can tell him he's Bill's son, but not now. She says she hopes he works things out with Laura, he says he hopes everything keeps going well with Victor. They kiss goodbye and leave.

Laura and Bill nearly make up but then she sees lipstick on his handkerchief from when Kate kissed him goodbye when they nearly crashed and she wiped the lipstick from his cheek.

Lucas goes to see Bill to ask him if he knew who his mother might have been seeing when she lived in Salem (he saw Bill's name down as his Mum's doctor after Curtis had beaten her once). Bill says he doesn't know, Lucas leaves and Bill says he can't do this anymore and runs after him.

Bill tells Laura he can't not tell Lucas he's his father. He says he truly loves her and he doesn't see why they can't all be happy. She decides to believe him. He asks her to go with him to the party that's being thrown to thank Kate and Victor for a large donation to the hospital. She says no but changes her mind after he leaves. At the party Lucas is still asking Kate to tell him who his dad is but she tells him this isn't the time to talk about it. Kate talks to Bill on the balcony asking him not to tell Lucas the truth yet. They get locked on the balcony and while Bill comforts Kate Laura arrives. Vivian steers her to the balcony where she sees Bill and Kate and tells her Bill will never be truthful and that she should spill the beans on him tonight.

At the party Laura reveals publicly about Bill and Kate's affair and that he's Lucas's father. Fisher Andrews tops it up with the tape of Kate telling David Caldwell that Curtis hadn't divorced her so her marriage to Victor isn't legal. Everyone's angry at Bill, Mickey remembering when Bill took Laura from him, Jenn angry at him, Lucas won't speak to him. Victor tells Kate he's not coming home tonight and leaves while Vivian gloats.

Lucas yells at Kate for her and Bill not having told him the truth. Marlena tries to convince her to fight to keep her marriage but Kate says it's up to Victor now. Jenn yells at Bill for what he did, saying she always thought he was so perfect and thought of her family that way and it was all a lie. Victor tells Kate they need to sort the mess out and then he'll decide about their relationship. Lucas yells at Bill and Kate. Jenn yells at Bill.

Gabe Appears To John - Warns Him About His Life Changing

(First Hint Of Possession Storyline)

John goes to the park and sits on a park bench and disturbs a man sleeping there who says his name is Gabriel, or Gabe. They talk and John tells him how his life derailed and there are things about himself he doesn't know. Gabe wonders if he could help and maybe their meeting wasn't accidental. John says he senses his life's about to change. Gabe says he's right, and there may be trouble but not to worry, John, he won't be alone.
